Eden Court Under Canvas: Alice Faye & Birdvox

Glasgow’s Alice Faye is a singular songwriter whose music fuses theatrical drama with intimate, confessional storytelling. Drawing on 70s pop, 60s folk, country and chanson, her songs are driven by a striking, timeless voice and fearless musical vision. Her piano-led EP Deadbeat earned BBC airplay and major festival slots, while Channel 4’s The Piano introduced her to a national audience. Following sold-out UK shows and a European headline tour, she was named BBC Introducing Scottish Act of the Year 2026 and released Some Brief Encounters with Julen Santamaria. With growing acclaim and devoted audiences, anticipation now builds toward her debut album Vaudevillian, due in 2027.

Birdvox is Sarah Hayes (vocals, synth, flute, drum programming), a founding member of Glasgow’s beloved Admiral Fallow; Inge Thomson (vocals, accordion, field recordings, drum programming), a longtime collaborator with the multi-award-winning songwriter and storyteller Karine Polwart; Jenny Sturgeon (vocals, guitars, keys, sampling), a SAY-nominated solo artist, and singer with alt-folk mainstays Salt House; and Charlotte Printer (vocals, bass, percussion) who’s previously performed with revived Scottish pop icons Altered Images, and Loyle Carner-collaborator Joesef.
