Maggie MacInnes and her Band: The Kalokerinos Tapes

Award winning Gaelic singer, Maggie MacInnes, will be performing contemporary arrangements of songs from a previously unreleased private archive recorded by her mother, the great traditional singer from the island of Barra, Flora MacNeil MBE. The archive of around 180 songs was recorded in the 1950s and 60s by an Australian folklorist, Dr James Kalokerinos, and includes many rare gems alongside some of the many traditional songs which Flora helped make popular today.
