Neighborhood
Nestled in a serene neighbourhood just off a country road, our guesthouse boasts open fields both in the front and at the back. A short stroll down the road leads to a picturesque forest and river trail, offering an idyllic setting for a morning walk with your furry friend. Keep an eye out for the mesmerizing Aurora/northern lights, enjoy starry nights, and revel in birdwatching opportunities. It’s a nature lover’s paradise!
We’re perfectly situated at the heart of it all. You have the option to explore the North to John O’Groats, or venture south just a quick 30-minute drive to reach Inverness.
For nature enthusiasts, our home offers fantastic opportunities for extensive walks through the forest along a picturesque river.
Access
To find our property, take the B9176 Struie road. Look out for a wooden sign with white writing that reads “Beechwood Lodge 300m”. If you’re approaching from Alness or Evanton, simply make a left turn just after the junction to Alness. We can’t wait to welcome you!
Space
Room 5 provides a Double bedroom with a shared Bathroom and views over fields and country road
The Bathroom is shared between Rooms 4 and 5. So if you book both rooms you will have private access to that bathroom.
Enjoy picturesque views of the garden, stream, and fields beyond.
Additionally, guests have access to our shared lounge, complete with a cosy fireplace, as well as our dining room where you can savour a delightful evening meal or a delicious breakfast.
Transit
Here are the directions and travel options for reaching Beechwood Lodge:
For guests driving from the South:
– Take a left off the A9 onto the B9176 Struie road. Follow this road until you cross a small bridge and you’ll spot our distinctive wooden sign for Beechwood Lodge in white text.
If you’re traveling from Inverness:
– Option 1: Take the train or bus to Alness and then a taxi to Beechwood Lodge Ardross.
– Option 2 (from Inverness Airport): Catch a train to Inverness, then another to Alness, and finally, take a taxi to Beechwood Lodge.
Additionally, we may offer an airport transfer service. Please reach out to us before your arrival.
